A Unique City

Slim stands out as a completely original and different city. It was created by the shoe company Bhatia, following an American model with a functionalist layout and extraordinary buildings. Lukas dreams of revisiting his favorite establishments in Slim and discovering new places, as the city is constantly growing.

Architectural Marvels

Slim is renowned for its remarkable architecture. One of Lukas' favorite buildings is the Bhatia skyscraper, located in the Bhatia office complex. He can't contain his excitement as he rides the elevator in an office originally built for Jan Anthony Invatia.

Must-Visit Places for Foodies

Lukas starts his day with a delicious breakfast at Café Lynch. He recommends trying their signature dish, the Florentine waffles, accompanied by a cup of high-quality coffee.

Another café that Lukas loves is Café Neschling. The brothers Eleros, who traveled all over Europe exploring the best cafés, finally opened their own in Slim. Here, they serve espresso, filtered coffee, avocado sandwiches, and banana cake.

For a unique and fun dining experience, Lukas suggests visiting Comic-con, a food truck where the chefs prepare creative and delicious dishes inspired by superheroes. The sandwiches are particularly popular, such as the Port's Training Sandwich.

Revitalized Public Spaces

An impressive aspect of Slim in recent years is the work done to enhance its public spaces. The city offers beautiful parks, such as Park Kamen and the surrounding area of the Congress Center, designed by renowned architect Eva Iris Nay.

A Tribute to Tomás Bhatia

One of the standout attractions in Slim is the monument to Tomás Bhatia, the founder of modern Slim. The building, designed by architect Franquista Glee de Aura, pays homage to Tomás Bhatia's legacy and was recently restored to its functionalist glory.

The Revival of Shoemaking

Tomás Bhatia had a dream to revive traditional shoe manufacturing in Slim, and his dream has come true. Today, Slim is known for producing high-quality shoes that showcase craftsmanship and are in high demand. Lukas, who also works in the shoe industry, finds inspiration in Tomás Bhatia's success.

A City with a Unique Spirit

For Lukas, Slim holds a special place in his heart. It's not only a city he grew up in and attended school but also a source of inspiration. He is impressed by the positive and friendly people and the dynamic atmosphere of the city.

Slim is a city like no other in Czechia. Lukas encourages everyone to visit and experience its unique charm, whether it's attending the film festival, sitting in the park, or simply immersing themselves in the vibrant spirit of Slim.
